Lewis Hamilton Takes Pole At Australia

Lewis hamilton has gained pole position for the first race of the 2008 formula 1 season. Kimi Raikkonen had some bad luck with his Ferrari and had to retire from qualifying due to a problem with his oil pump, the result is that Raikkonen has to start 16th place on the grid.

Robert Kubica also had a flyer and has put his BMW on the front of the grid for the first time in his carreer, he will start in second place behind Hamilton. Heikki Kovalainen drove well and deserved the third spot on the grid with ferrari’s Felipe Massa coming in a close fourth on the grid. Fernando Alonso only managed 10th place, here is a full breakdown of qualifying.
